Avanos recognized their customers were consistently setting up their Cortrak device incorrectly, causing the doctor or nurse to missenterpret where the feeding tube is located inside the patient resulting in potential dangerous deviations to the lung area.
Working with Avanos / CORTRAK* 2 , team we created a series of onscreen device instructions for setting up the system prior to use in feeding tube placement procedure as well as better visual cues during placement to avoid dangerous deviations.
